    I heard Gregory speak at the "Deeper Conference" on Sept. 11-12. He talked on "Why there is evil in the world?"; a question that comes up some times as you share the Gospel. During that talked he explained a tactic he uses when talking to people about spiritual matters. It is called the "Columbo Tactic" from the old TV series Columbo.  Here is an example:

Statement: "Christians are intolerant or you're intolerant!"

Columbo ? " What do you mean by that? or Why do you consider me intolerant?

Statement: "They think they are right and everyone else is wrong! or You think you are right and everyone else is wrong!"

Coluumbo ? "I do think I am right. It is possible I am wrong but I don't think so. What about you? Do you think your views are correct?

Statement: 'Yes, I do think I am right, however, I am not intolerant!"

Columbo ? " Please help me to understand why it is when I think my view is right, it is intolerant. When you think your view is right, it is not intolerant! I must be missing something, can you help me out on this?
