Met up with my friend Keith on Saturday 9/11 and with Keith and Alex on Sunday 9/12 to proclaim the gospel. I handled almost all my tracts by early Sunday.
Most of the comments were positive. On Saturday, I did have one lady tell me "No thanks, I am not a idiot." I just smiled, that one was a new to me.
Sunday I was more prepared and when I got a very similar comment, I just said " I am very sorry you feel that way."
Another man told me "I don't need that" and for that one I responded "May God continue to show you His mercy." It is very easy to take things personally but I remind myself if not for
the grace of God, there goes I. God, give me more sorrow for the lost when the reject the Gospel. May they hear it in my voice and see it in my eyes.
Here are some picture of Alex and Keith from Sunday.

It has been a busy week. I went to Athens Friday night. It was really crowded because of the upcoming game on Saturday. This is the third time I went and usually we have conversations with folks most of the night but for the 1st hour I was there we had no conversations. I stopped and wondered why no conversations. Then it struck me, I did not pray first before starting. I did pray on the way while driving in my car, but not once I got to our corner. I stopped and prayed; soon we have 5 different conversations before it was time for me to leave ( Isn't God good!). I met a young man that had 1 John 4:18 tattooed to his arm. He sounded like he knew many different verses in the bible but kept talking about the Koran or what if the bible was not true.
Saturday I went down to the GA Dome for the game. I did not meet up with the usual street preachers but met some new folks. One person was doing open air but he went on and on how the people going to the game were worshiping a pig skin and about how stupid it was to push keys on a computer keyboard ( not sure what that connection was about). I considered leaving but the gentleman stopped and I took open preaching Law and Grace. You can really tell the different when someone loves the lost vs. someone who come across as they do not. It is not so much what they are saying but the spirit in which it is said. It does not mean you don't preach the hard things of the Gospel (God is righteous and will punish those not saved by grace) but why are you doing it. I would much rather hear someone just read the word of God in public instead of someone just rambling on about worshiping a pig skin.
Sunday my wife said we should go to Stone Mountain with the 2 granddaughters and hand out tracts. We did and it was very crowded. I had 4 good conversations. One young man asked me to pray with him and his nephew about being righteous. Another young lady was a Christian who has been sharing her faith and wanted to listen to what I had to say. I was able to give her Mark Cahill's book "One Heartbeat Away" to share with family member who she was concerned about because Jesus was not their savior. |

I presented the Gospel message at the Youth Detention Center Monday. I was going to talk about Evolution vs. Creation since I have been reading some new material but decided to talk about choice.
I was able to talk about how many choices we all make every day and how they have different levels of consequences.
How their choices not only affect them both others as well.
I talked about reading Proverbs and how the wisdom found there can help them to make better choices.
I talked about contrary to popular belief they are not basically good and have just made bad choices, but that the Bible says we are bad and that is why we make bad choice.
I then talked about the most important choice they will have to make; whom will they server.
I think about just 2 years ago how I would have chosen to sit at home and watch TV on a Monday night.
God is so very good. |

Richard, Jennie and myself went to Stone Mountain after church Sunday and handed out 75 bottles of water to folks who either where planning to walk up the mountain or has just come down from the mountain. It was hot, so the water only lasted about an hour.
Pretty much with each bottle a tract was handed out as well. Richard had a good conversation with a man from Portugal. |

I went to Athens GA with some other folks last night to do some street preaching. I had several questions I have not been asked before about the bible. The streets were crowed with UGA students and it kind of reminded my about the Academy training I attended last year in CA. I have 4 good conversations and did some open air.
Bradley asked me if I thought what we were doing really matters. That one I could answer with several examples. The bottom line was yes. The Father is always pleased to hear about His Son. I cannot think of a more important thing to spend my time doing, can you? |

Snellville has started a farmer market near the City Hall building on 78. It is scheduled to run every Saturday from 8am to 12pm during the summer. Today was the first day I have been able to go so I went down for an hour with my “Are You Ready” cross. I had a conversation with David who goes to the Lawrenceville Court House witnessing during the day. We prayed for each other’s ministries. |

Ever since going to the Ambassador Academy last year I have been looking for a place to do open air preaching in the Atlanta area. I think I have found my place at Stone Mountain. The park has a free speech area right at Crossroads and all they would like you to do is call ahead so they can post some signs indicating this is a free speech area. My wife and I went last night and I was pretty happy with the location. I met Paul who is in charge of public security and he games me the guidelines and I was off. I did about 80 minutes of explaining the gospel along with reading various chapters from the bibles. Several Christians stopped to listen and I had a good conversation with 4 students on a mission trip that had stopped at Stone Mountain on their way to their final destination (no pun intended!). Lord willing, I am going to try to make this a every week event |

We had a great time at Stone Mountain June 12th. Thanks for all who came to help. We found out that Stone Mountain has several free speech areas in the park after the moved our prayer table to inside the Crossroads village near the train station. This is an ideal spot and Crossroad might take on a whole new meaning. We made somewhere around 75 balloon animals and had prayer for 5 different people.
Please join us on July 12th. We will be setting up in the same location and have a prayer station, making balloon animals for kids, handing out tracts and maybe do some open air.

I meet up with Keith and did some reading of the bible is public along with some Open Air Preaching on Saturday. I went back Sunday and did some more of the same and handed out tracts. Fred had a great sermon today on the Lost and focused on John3:16 and the words "shall no perish". I used this for several of my Open Air messages. |

My wife and I and two grandchildren went to Stone Mountain Park and handed out free water and gospel tracts. It was about 90 degrees today when we pulled into the parking lot. I took a cooler of about 54 bottles of water and it only took about an hour to hand them all out. My granddaughter kept running back and forth getting water and tracts. Next time we need to take a smaller cooler besides the large one so we can split up some. I talked to one man named Dale who recalled how life used to be when he was growing up compared to today. He was 65 years old. He took a tract and told me he would come to church at LAC.
I also talked to a lady who recently lost her job and we prayed that God would bless her this week and that when He does, she needs to look us up next month when we come back and tell us about it. |
